Suspense Author Shoba Sadler

Talks About The Multi-Cultural Genre

What happens when a Vietnamese socialite, Cao Kim Lye falls in love with Bryan Nguyen, her Amerasian chauffeur?

Shoba Sadler takes us on a journey of discovery to the exotic land of Vietnam still reeling from the aftermath of a war where American GIs left behind precious cargo when they pulled out of Vietnam - their children.

Called many derogatory names, one of them being Child of Dust, these children have had to grow up on the streets, fending for themselves.

When the spoilt and arrogant Kim steps out of a world of crystal and chandelier into the dust and chaos of working class Hanoi, she must face realities she had never encountered, including losing her heart to a man who has lived a life shunned by society.

A freelance journalist for 20 years in Malaysia, Shoba Sadler has had numerous stories published in newspapers and magazines, many of which made the cover page. She founded her own magazine, Agape and operated it in Malaysia for seven years.

She specialises in writing inspirational stories, full of suspense, that have the feel of a good Hallmark movie and yet spicy and not afraid to touch on the messy things in life.

Her knack for writing suspense makes all her stories a page turner as one reader who left a review on Amazon expressed, "The fact that this was not a typical love story gave it extra spice and flavour. Also, the hardship they had to endure made the story more realistic. This is one story that will captivate you with all the twists and turns. Make sure when getting ready to read Child of Dust that you don't have anything else planned for the day, you won't be able to put this book down. I could go on and on about this book. Highly and strongly recommend it. Is it possible to give a book 10 stars?"

Shann Hall-LochmannVanBennekom also found Child of Dust hard to put down. She said, "Usually Romance is not my favourite genre, but once I started reading, I didn't want to put it down. Sadler transported me to a country I have difficulty in imagining, yet she did such a stunning job, I felt like I was right there watching the story unfold."

Shoba Sadler will be at the Ulladulla Library, Princes Highway, Ulladulla, NSW 2539 to talk about her book Child Of Dust on March 15, 2017 at 10 am. She will be signing copies of her book.
